Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide, Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro, made from the tetrapeptide tuftsin (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg) with a Pro-Gly-Pro extension at the C-terminus, the same stabilising extension used in Semax. It was developed in Russia and is described in the research literature under this name.
