Shipping & Delivery

How long does UK delivery take?

Most UK orders arrive within 1–3 working days. We dispatch same-day on orders placed before 2pm UK time, Monday to Friday, using tracked Royal Mail and DPD services. You’ll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your parcel is scanned in.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — BluePeak Peptides ships worldwide from our UK facility. International delivery typically takes 5–14 working days depending on the destination country and local customs processing times. We do not ship to countries where the import of research peptides is explicitly prohibited; see Question 4 for the current restricted list.

Will my peptide order get through customs?

The vast majority of our international orders clear customs without issue because every package is labelled as “research chemicals — not for human consumption,” which is the correct import classification for laboratory material. Customs clearance rates vary by country: UK, most of the EU, and North America typically clear smoothly, while a small number of jurisdictions (notably Australia, Norway, and parts of the Middle East) have stricter import rules. If a parcel is ever held, we offer a one-time reshipment under our guarantee.

Which countries do you not ship to?

We currently do not ship to Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Singapore, South Korea, or Japan, because these countries have import restrictions that make reliable delivery unlikely. We also cannot ship to any country under active international sanctions. If your country isn’t listed on our checkout, please contact support and we’ll confirm whether delivery is feasible.

How are peptides packaged for shipping?

Every order ships in discreet, tamper-evident packaging with no external branding indicating the contents. Peptide vials are cushioned in foam inserts and sealed inside bubble-lined envelopes or rigid boxes depending on order size. Orders containing heat-sensitive compounds are double-insulated, and longer-transit international orders include a small ice pack where appropriate.

Do you use tracked shipping?

All BluePeak orders ship with full end-to-end tracking. UK orders use Royal Mail Tracked 24 or DPD Next Day; international orders use tracked courier services with delivery confirmation. Your tracking number is emailed automatically when the label is generated.

What happens if my package is seized by customs?

If a tracked parcel is confirmed seized or destroyed by customs, we offer a one-time free reshipment to the same address, or a store credit, at your choice. You’ll usually receive a “customs notification” letter within 2–3 weeks of the expected delivery date; forward that letter to support@peptidesresearch.uk and we’ll process the reshipment within 48 hours.

Do you ship on weekends?

We dispatch Monday to Friday only, but orders placed Friday before 2pm still go out the same day. Weekend orders are processed first thing Monday morning. Royal Mail and DPD do offer Saturday delivery for orders using those services, but our cut-off for Saturday dispatch is Friday 2pm.

What shipping carriers do you use?

Our primary UK carriers are Royal Mail Tracked 24, DPD, and Evri for lighter parcels. International shipments go via Royal Mail International Tracked, DHL Express, and UPS depending on destination and weight. The carrier for your order is confirmed in your dispatch email.

Can I expedite shipping?

Yes — we offer DPD Next Day and DHL Express upgrades at checkout. Next-day UK orders placed before 1pm arrive the following working day. International express typically delivers within 2–4 working days depending on destination.

What if my package arrives damaged?

Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damaged packaging and any affected vials. If any product is compromised, we’ll ship a replacement at no charge. Please keep the original packaging for our carrier claim.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes — UK orders over £100 ship free on the standard tracked service, and we run periodic free international shipping promotions for orders above a minimum threshold. Current shipping thresholds and rates are always visible on the checkout page.

Customs & Legal

Do I need a license to buy peptides from BluePeak?

No licence is required to purchase research peptides in the UK or most jurisdictions we ship to. However, you confirm at checkout that you are purchasing for research purposes only and are at least 18 years of age. Institutional buyers (universities, private labs) may have additional internal procurement requirements.

Will customs confiscate my peptides?

Confiscation is uncommon for correctly-labelled research peptides shipped to countries where import is permitted. Our compliant labelling (“research chemicals, not for human consumption”) is the standard import classification that customs officers recognise. If your country is on our no-ship list (see Q4), confiscation risk is high and we won’t process the order.

What happens if customs stops my package for inspection?

Packages held for inspection typically clear within 3–7 additional working days. Customs may send you a letter requesting proof of research use or a declaration — if so, forward it to us and we’ll supply a commercial invoice and research-use statement. If the package is ultimately released, you’ll receive it as normal; if seized, we offer a free reshipment.

Are peptides controlled substances?

No — the peptides we supply are not scheduled under the UK Misuse of Drugs Act, the US Controlled Substances Act, or equivalent international conventions. They are research chemicals, not narcotics or psychoactive substances. A small number of peptide-adjacent compounds (e.g. certain designer drugs) are controlled, but we do not stock any controlled material.

Can I resell peptides I buy from BluePeak?

Our products are supplied to the end researcher for their own laboratory use and are not intended for resale. If you’re a lab-supply distributor interested in a trade account, contact us directly to discuss a wholesale agreement; resale under our retail terms is not permitted.

Do you provide Certificates of Analysis (COA)?

Yes — every batch of BluePeak peptides is accompanied by a third-party Certificate of Analysis confirming purity (typically >99% by HPLC) and identity (by mass spectrometry). COAs are available on each product page and can also be emailed on request by quoting your order number.

Are your peptides for human consumption?

No — BluePeak peptides are supplied strictly for in vitro laboratory research use only and are not intended, approved, or tested for human or animal consumption. This is stated on every product page, every invoice, and every product label. Customers confirm acceptance of this condition at checkout.

Are peptides legal to possess?

Possession of research peptides is legal in the UK and in most jurisdictions we ship to, provided they are labelled and used for research purposes. Possession of peptides for the purpose of administering to humans may be regulated differently under pharmaceutical law; consult your local regulations.

Do you report orders to authorities?

No — we do not share customer data with any authority except where legally compelled by a valid court order or statutory request. We’re a UK-registered business and fully GDPR-compliant; your order data is stored securely and is never sold, shared, or disclosed to third parties for marketing or surveillance purposes.

Product Quality & Testing

What is the purity of your peptides?

Every BluePeak peptide is manufactured to ≥99% purity as verified by reverse-phase HPLC, and identity is confirmed by mass spectrometry (MS). Each batch undergoes independent third-party testing and the Certificate of Analysis is published on the relevant product page.

How are your peptides tested?

Every batch is tested by three independent methods: HPLC for purity, mass spectrometry for molecular identity, and endotoxin/bioburden testing where relevant. Testing is performed by accredited third-party analytical laboratories, not in-house, to ensure unbiased results.

What is HPLC and why does it matter?

HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) is the industry-standard analytical technique for measuring peptide purity. An HPLC trace shows every separable compound in the sample; the main peak represents the target peptide and any additional peaks represent impurities. A result of ≥99% means the target peptide makes up 99% or more of the sample by area.

What is mass spectrometry (MS) testing?

Mass spectrometry confirms that the peptide’s molecular weight matches the expected theoretical weight, proving the correct amino-acid sequence has been synthesised. Together with HPLC, MS provides definitive evidence of identity and purity — both figures appear on every BluePeak Certificate of Analysis.

Where are your peptides sourced and manufactured?

Our peptides are synthesised by established GMP-compliant laboratories and undergo independent analytical verification in accredited facilities before release. We do not source from unverified suppliers, and every batch is traceable to a specific manufacturing lot and test date.

Are your peptides pharmaceutical grade?

Our peptides meet research-grade purity standards (≥99% by HPLC) that are equivalent to or exceed pharmaceutical-reference-standard purity for analytical use. However, they are not manufactured under full pharmaceutical GMP for finished-product human use; they are supplied as research chemicals for laboratory applications.

What’s included with each order?

Each vial ships sealed in its original packaging with a batch-specific label showing the peptide name, quantity, lot number, and manufacture date. Orders include a packing slip and (on request) a printed Certificate of Analysis. Bacteriostatic water is sold separately and can be added to your order at checkout.

Specific Peptides

What is Epithalon (Epitalon)?

Epithalon is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) studied in research into telomerase activity and cellular ageing models. Supplied for in vitro laboratory use.

Storage & Shelf Life

What’s the shelf life of lyophilised peptides?

Unopened lyophilised peptides stored at −20°C typically remain stable for 24–36 months from the manufacture date shown on the vial. Refrigerated at 2–8°C, expect approximately 12–24 months. Room-temperature storage shortens shelf life significantly and is not recommended for more than short transit periods.

Do peptides need refrigeration during shipping?

Lyophilised peptides are stable at room temperature for short transit periods (typically 1–2 weeks), which is why international shipping is feasible. Long-transit or heat-sensitive compounds ship with ice packs where appropriate. For long-term storage after arrival, refrigerate or freeze as per Q50.

What if my peptides arrive warm?

Lyophilised peptides are robust to short warm-transit periods and are typically unaffected by 1–2 weeks at room temperature or moderate heat during shipping. If you’re concerned, simply refrigerate on arrival. If a heat-sensitive product arrives noticeably warm with a failed ice pack, contact support and we’ll arrange a replacement.

How do I know if my peptides are still good?

Properly stored peptides within their stated shelf life should appear as a white or off-white lyophilised powder or cake inside the vial. Discolouration, obvious clumping with moisture, or a broken vacuum seal indicates the product may be compromised. When in doubt, contact support for advice and a possible replacement.

Does light affect peptides?

Yes — prolonged UV or bright light exposure can degrade peptides, which is why our vials are amber-glass or supplied in opaque packaging. Keep vials in their original packaging or in a dark container during storage.

Reconstitution & Preparation

Why shouldn’t I shake the vial?

Vigorous shaking can denature the peptide by disrupting its secondary structure and introducing foam. Gentle swirling or inversion is sufficient for full dissolution and preserves peptide integrity.

Why is my peptide not fully dissolving?

Some peptides are hydrophobic and dissolve slowly; allow 5–10 minutes with gentle swirling at room temperature before concluding there’s a problem. If material remains undissolved, a small amount of acetic acid or a warm-water bath (≤35°C) may help, but contact support if you suspect a product fault.

Payment & Orders

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major debit and credit cards, bank transfer (Faster Payments for UK, SEPA for EU), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and selected cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). Bank transfer and crypto customers receive an automatic 10% discount at checkout.

Do you accept cryptocurrency?

Yes — we accept Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), and USDT (Tether) via our integrated crypto-payment processor. Crypto orders receive an automatic 10% discount, processed at the live exchange rate at checkout.

Is my payment information secure?

Yes — all card payments are processed through PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways — BluePeak never sees or stores your full card number. Our site uses industry-standard TLS 1.3 encryption, and bank-transfer details are provided only after order placement via secure email.

Can I pay by bank transfer?

Yes — at checkout, select “Bank Transfer” to receive our UK (Faster Payments) or EU (SEPA) bank details. Bank-transfer orders receive an automatic 10% discount. Please use your order number as the payment reference so we can reconcile quickly.

Do you offer bulk discounts?

Yes — our Bulk Peptides range is priced at a significant per-milligram discount versus single vials. We also run periodic Buy One Get One (BOGO) and seasonal promotions. Buy one, get one free currently applies to every product in the catalogue, bacteriostatic water included.

Can I stack discounts?

BOGO applies automatically and stacks with bank-transfer and crypto payment discounts at checkout. Promo codes typically do not stack with BOGO on the same product line; the cart applies whichever gives the greater discount.

Will I get a receipt or invoice?

Yes — a full VAT receipt is emailed automatically on order confirmation and is also available in your customer account. Institutional buyers needing a named invoice or purchase-order reference can request one by email.

Do I need to create an account to order?

No — we offer guest checkout. Creating an account is optional and lets you track orders, save addresses, access order history, and see your loyalty balance, but it is not required.

Do you offer a loyalty or referral programme?

Yes — registered account holders earn loyalty points on every order, redeemable against future purchases. Referral credits are issued when a referred friend completes their first order. Details are shown in your account dashboard.

Can I modify or cancel my order after placing it?

If your order hasn’t yet shipped (typically within 2 hours of placement during business hours), email support@peptidesresearch.uk with your order number and we’ll modify or cancel it. Once shipped, modifications are not possible but our return policy (Q80) may apply.

Do prices include VAT?

UK prices are shown inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate. International customers may see VAT removed at checkout depending on their shipping country, and may be charged local import VAT or duties on arrival — these are the buyer’s responsibility.

Returns, Refunds & Issues

What is your return policy?

Unopened, sealed product may be returned within 14 days of delivery for a full refund, provided the product is in resalable condition. Opened vials cannot be returned for hygiene and quality-control reasons. Contact support before sending anything back; we’ll issue a Return Merchandise Authorization.

What if I receive the wrong product?

Email us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and a photo of the product received. We’ll ship the correct item immediately at no extra cost and arrange collection of the incorrect item if needed.

How do I get a refund?

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 3–7 working days of our receiving the returned goods (or the refund approval for non-returnable issues). Card refunds may take an additional 2–5 days to appear on your statement depending on your bank.

What if my package is marked delivered but I didn’t receive it?

Contact the carrier first using your tracking number — parcels are occasionally left with a neighbour or in a safe location. If the carrier cannot locate it within 48 hours, email us and we’ll open a carrier investigation. Once a parcel is confirmed lost by the carrier, we reship or refund at your choice.

What if my package is delayed?

If your parcel is more than 3 working days past its expected UK delivery date, or 7 working days past its international estimate, email support@peptidesresearch.uk with your order number. We’ll check with the carrier and either initiate a trace or, if appropriate, arrange a reshipment.

What if my vial is broken or leaking?

Contact us within 48 hours with photos of the damaged vial and packaging. We’ll ship a replacement free of charge. Please keep the original packaging until the replacement ships, in case our courier claim requires it.

Do you offer a guarantee on your products?

Yes — every BluePeak peptide is backed by our Purity Guarantee. If an independent third-party test shows your product fails to meet the ≥99% HPLC purity stated on its COA, we’ll replace the product or refund your order in full.

What if I’m not satisfied with my order?

Contact us within 14 days with your order number and the nature of the issue. We assess every case on its merits — we’d rather resolve a concern and keep a long-term research customer than win a short-term dispute.

Research Use & Disclaimers

Are peptides synthetic or natural?

The peptides we supply are synthetic — manufactured by solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) in controlled laboratory conditions. Synthetic production allows precise sequence control and batch-to-batch reproducibility that’s not achievable with biologically sourced material.

How are peptides manufactured?

Peptides are made by solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS), a technique in which amino acids are added one at a time to a growing chain anchored to a solid resin. The completed peptide is then cleaved from the resin, purified by HPLC, verified by mass spectrometry, and freeze-dried (lyophilised) into the final powder form.

What’s the difference between a peptide and a protein?

Peptides and proteins are both chains of amino acids — the distinction is length and folding. Peptides are shorter (typically under 50 amino acids) and generally unfolded or simply folded. Proteins are longer and adopt complex three-dimensional structures. Most research peptides are 4–40 amino acids long.
