What is International Shipping Insurance?
When you select “International Shipping Insurance (7–14 Days, Fully Covered)” at checkout, your international order is covered end-to-end. We carry the risk on the international leg so you don’t have to.
What’s covered
The insurance fee covers your order against all of the following:
- Customs seizure — if your parcel is seized, detained, or destroyed by customs in the destination country, we will resend the order at no additional cost.
- Customs duties & import taxes — any import duties, VAT, or local sales taxes applied to the parcel are pre-paid by us under DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). You will not be invoiced by the carrier on arrival.
- Carrier handling & broker fees — any processing or broker fees the carrier applies on import are covered.
- Loss in transit — if the carrier loses the parcel between dispatch and delivery, we resend at no cost.
- Damage in transit — if the parcel arrives visibly damaged or the contents are unusable, we resend the affected items.
- Returned by carrier — if the carrier returns the parcel through no fault of your own, we resend.
- Theft after marked delivery — if the parcel is recorded as delivered but was stolen from a secure location, we resend, subject to verification.
In short: if anything goes wrong with the international leg of your order, we make it right at no additional cost.
How to make a claim
If something goes wrong with a covered order, email support@peptidesresearch.uk with:
- Your order number.
- A short description of what happened.
- Supporting evidence:
- Customs seizure or detention: a photo or PDF of the customs notice or letter.
- Lost in transit: the carrier’s last tracking update, or written confirmation of non-delivery.
- Damaged in transit: photos of the damaged outer packaging and the contents.
- Stolen after delivery: a brief statement and, where available, a police reference number.
We respond to claims within 3 business days. Approved reshipments are typically dispatched within 5 business days of approval.
Conditions
- The insurance must be selected and paid for at the time of the original order. It cannot be added retrospectively.
- Claims must be opened within 30 days of the expected delivery date, or within 14 days of carrier confirmation of loss or seizure (whichever is later).
- A resend ships under the same insured shipping method as the original order.
- We may request additional evidence at our discretion to verify the claim.
- The buyer remains responsible for providing a complete, deliverable shipping address. Address errors are not covered (see “What’s not covered” below).
- If a claim is approved as a refund instead of a reshipment, the refund covers the value of the affected items at the price paid. Shipping and insurance fees are not refunded when a resend has already been dispatched.
- Coverage is per-order, not per-customer.
What’s NOT covered
- Address errors made by the buyer at checkout — incorrect street, missing apartment number, transposed postcode, etc.
- Refused delivery without a legitimate reason.
- Unclaimed parcels that are returned to us because the buyer did not collect from a depot after multiple delivery attempts.
- Use outside our Terms of Service — products are supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research and development. Customs issues arising from misrepresentation of the consignment by the buyer (e.g. communicating the contents as something other than research material to the carrier) are not covered.
Research use only
All products sold by BluePeak Peptides are supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research and development. This insurance covers the physical delivery and customs risk for legitimate research orders.
