Bacteriostatic water is sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative, supplied in a sealed glass vial with a rubber stopper and flip-off cap. It is the standard solvent for reconstituting lyophilised peptides in the laboratory. The preservative allows a vial to be drawn from repeatedly for up to 28 days after first opening.
Format: 3 ml vial (single reconstitutions) or 10 ml vial (repeated work), catalogue references BACWAT-03 and BACWAT-01.
